In July 2025, ActivumSG completed the acquisition of the newly developed luxury resort Fairmont La Hacienda Costa del Sol for €175 million. The asset was acquired from Spanish REIT Milenium Hotels Real Estate on behalf of ActivumSG Fund VII. Leveraging the deal-sourcing and structuring expertise of its Madrid-based team, ActivumSG executed the transaction at an optimal entry point—securing a fully completed asset with zero construction risk.
Opened in February 2025, the resort is located in the prestigious Costa del Sol region, just 15 minutes from Gibraltar Airport and in close proximity to two of Southern Europe’s most sought-after luxury destinations: Sotogrande and Marbella.

In the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic, in 2020, ActivumSG acquired the iconic Nobu Hotel Barcelona at an attractive price. Thanks to its strong local presence, the team was able to conduct thorough due diligence and close the transaction despite international travel restrictions—demonstrating agility and deep expertise in the Spanish real estate market.
Prior to ActivumSG’s acquisition, the hotel had already undergone a major renovation by its previous owner, the Selenta Group, and featured high-end amenities. However, the ASG Iberia team identified further untapped potential: the previously unused rooftop space was transformed into an exclusive outdoor lounge featuring a luxury plunge pool, restaurant, and bar.
This ambitious enhancement required complex engineering work—including the removal of a massive 27-ton, 130-foot antenna—to make way for the new facilities. The result is now Barcelona’s highest rooftop of its kind, offering 360° panoramic views of the city, mountains, and Mediterranean Sea, making it a unique attraction for both guests and event organizers.

A realized data center project.
Zeus is a strategic project developed by ActivumSG in the municipality of Meco, on the outskirts of Madrid. In 2021, the company acquired a 190,000 sq ft (approximately 17,650 m²) plot of underutilized industrial land previously occupied by two local manufacturing companies.
The project was made possible through a thorough analysis of the Madrid Municipality Electricity Grid, which identified areas best suited for data center development. A pivotal milestone was achieved in 2022, when the ASG Iberia team secured a strategic 25MW power agreement—a critical requirement for any modern data center.
This enabled the site to be connected to the grid via a dual-feed power supply from a nearby substation, fully qualifying it for data center operations.
The Zeus project marked a significant step in ActivumSG’s emerging “powered land” strategy—developing land with pre-secured power infrastructure. The initiative culminated in the successful sale of the plot in July 2024 to a leading European data center developer and operator, confirming the high market value of this fully enabled asset.
