Palacio Solecio is a realized project by ActivumSG that has breathed new life into a long-neglected historic site in the heart of Málaga. Originally an 18th-century Andalusian palace, the property had fallen into severe disrepair over decades of abandonment before being acquired and meticulously transformed into a luxury 118-room hotel.

The ASG Iberia team worked closely with the City of Málaga to carry out a comprehensive restoration that honored the building’s rich legacy. Key historical features were preserved throughout, including:

• The original staircase
• The grand façade
• Other distinctive architectural elements that highlight its authenticity and period character

In a second phase of development, ActivumSG further enhanced the asset by consolidating three adjacent plots into the main site. This expansion enabled the addition of:

• 50 new guest rooms
• A rooftop bar
• A swimming pool with panoramic views over Málaga’s city center

Palacio Solecio has become more than just a luxury hotel—it is now a cultural landmark that contributes to the revitalization of its surrounding neighborhood. The project exemplifies how thoughtful integration of heritage and modern hospitality can create a unique asset that meets the growing demand for premium accommodation in one of the Costa del Sol’s most dynamic cities.
