The Putney School Field House

The newly constructed 16,800-square-foot Field House at The Putney School provides a comprehensive athletic and wellness environment. The facility includes a full-size basketball court, weight room, yoga studio, ski waxing room, equipment storage, locker rooms, and a social gathering space.

Designed with a strong commitment to sustainability, the building incorporates composting toilets, rainwater management systems, super insulation, and automated lighting controls. It also features a solar-powered summer hot water system and an advanced air-to-air heat exchange pump, which is powered by sun-tracking photovoltaic panels. These innovations have qualified the project for the U.S. Green Building Council’s LEED® Platinum certification.
